Under the leadership of Dr M.S. Lakshmi Priya, IAS, Director of AYUSH cum Member Secretary, National AYUSH Mission, the first of its kind State Level Review meeting with Principals of Educational Institutions under AYUSH and District Nodal Officers (AYUSH) was held on 8^th August 2022 (Monday) at the Conference Hall of National Health Mission, Christianbasti, Assam was conducted. The key responsibilities the District Nodal Officers have in implementing the various schemes of National AYUSH Mission in-order to popularize yoga as a form of healing and to function in close co-ordination with NHM and Health Department so that patients benefit the most were discussed in detail. She directed all District Nodal officers to work on functionalizing the existing AYUSH infrastructure in the districts and to provide necessary treatment to the needy.
